New balsa pod/carbon boom Discus fuse.
  -
I wanted a spare fuselage for my Sidewinder DLG and had previously built a couple of balsa pod and boom fuses (Aspen Leaf fuse). The boom is an Avia Sport G-Force SUL and the tail pieces are from the Exterminator Pro. Both the boom and tail pieces were bought from Polecat. The pod sides are 1/8" balsa and the bottom is 1/16" balsa covered with .75 ounce fiberglass. The end result weighs the same as the Sidewinder fiberglass fuse. I've had at least 500 discus launches with this fuse with no problems.
battery - Radical RC 4x300 mah NIMH
receiver - Hitec 555
servos - GWS
gyro - Cirrus MPG-10
